Prayer
Prayer is an important way to develop and express our relationship with God. There are many ways to pray. We can use both traditional and personal forms of prayer. Personal prayer is speaking to God / Te Atua from your heart: asking, thanking, praising and adoring. Traditional prayers can be prayed on our own, as a family or as a community. Here are the important Traditional prayers for Year 3 and 4 children at Holy Cross School.

Act of Contrition
O My God, I am very sorry
that I have sinned against you,
because you are so good
and with your help
I will try not to sin again.
Amen
Prayer Responses
Lord, I am not worthy
that you should enter under my roof,
but only say the word
and my soul shall be healed.

of the world, have mercy on us.
