On Thursday 23rd March the Harinui Syndicate walked to Allenby Park. We practiced our Road Safety as we walked along the footpath and crossed roads. When we could we used the pedestrian crossings. We especially enjoyed using the new one with lights at the dairy on Carruth Road.
When we arrived we sat down and had a drink form our water bottles. Then we had a safety talk. We discussed boundaries, safe playing and being kind and caring.
Then we all chose a part of the playground to explore. The teachers and helpers took care of us and supervised different areas.
We had a lot of fun taking turns and showing each other the clever things we could do!
Later we went onto the field to play a game of T Ball. Half of us were fielders. Half of us were batters. We are getting very good at hitting the ball with the bat. We are getting very good at running to catch the ball and throw it to the bases.
Last of all we had a few sack races. We love jumping up and down in the colourful sacks and trying to be first!
