Wow!!! How lucky we are to have Father Soane visit us in Room 2. He reminded us that Sunday 12 May is Mother’s Day. He told us a secret. He said that the best present for our Mothers is love.
During Lent all the students of Holy Cross Catholic School have been bringing Mission Money to school. The children in Harinui Syndicate have remembered to bring money to put in the Caritas Misson Box which is on our Prayer Table.
During Lent we made a promise –
“Harinui Syndicate promises to be grateful!” Because we are grateful for all God has given to us we want to share with those in need.
Yesterday Mrs O’Grady went shopping for wonderful special Easter treats to go into eight boxes for some of our school families in special circumstances, to help them celebrate Easter. There are healthy fruit, chocolate treats, biscuits and potato chips to name a few of the yummy things.
They were arranged in a nice box and wrapped up before a beautiful bow was added to the top.
This is a way for us to show God’s love to others.
Some of the other Mission Money is going, through Caritas for Fiji and to:ChildFund in Africa to help provide clean drinking water.
We wish everyone a Holy and Blessed Easter! Thank you to everyone who brought money for our Mission Box.
