Welcome to the Tumanako Syndicate page, featuring Year 3 and 4 children from Rooms 14, 15 and 16.
What a great event we had last Thursday when both the Tumanako and Te Matauranga syndicates went to the church for the Years 3 and 4 scripture cup finals. The 12 children who were finalists did very well despite being nervous. Mrs Siluuga and Mr Ryan were the judges. They had the hard task of choosing a winner.
First place was OHEA HUNI, second place was MAYNARD SAGAOINIT and third place was FAGASEGIAMAULI LELAULU.
Congratulations to all our finalists who read well and represented their classes respectfully.

Topics for this Term
Swimming is part of our fitness programme for this term. This is a COMPULSORY’ event and every child is expected to participate. Swimming for our area is on, every TUESDAY. Please remind your child to bring their togs, towel, goggles, spare undies, and PE gear. All children will wear their PE gear to swimming.
Music and Maori: Wednesdays
This is an extension of the school day and all children are required to complete reading, spelling, mathematics (including IXL and other suitable mathematics activities and games) on a daily basis. There may be times when students have other unfinished class work that needs to be completed. Google Docs is the platform that children will be using to complete work. Please take some time to work alongside them and comment on their work and efforts.
Please visit the school website to find out more about what is happening in the Tumanako Syndicate

Room 16’s assembly was based on books they have read during book week.
We learnt a lot about different countries and their festivals. It was awesome.
We read stories from Cook Islands, Philippines, Vietnam, Samoa, Ethiopia and Aotearoa.
