Covid 19 in Auckland
Dear Parents
As you would have read or heard in the news last night, there have been three confirmed cases of Covid-19 in South Auckland. As a result of this the Government announced that the whole of Auckland will be moved to Alert Level 3 for the next 72 hours from Sunday. That means that where possible you should keep your children home from school for this period. Holy Cross Catholic School is open for those who have no other option but to send their children to school. We will have safety precautions in place to look after them. If you need to send your children to school, times will be from 8.00am to 3.15pm each day.
Although the present lockdown is until midnight on Wednesday 17th February, we are activating our distance learning plan from Tuesday 16th February.
For this to be successful we have outlined our plan below. Covid 19 continues to be a factor that we need to consider and I assure you that we have a robust plan in place to protect your children, family and wider whanau. If the situation changes over the next few days, you may contact us over the next 3 days or your child’s teacher through Seesaw if you have any questions or concerns.

Learning online
We will expect all children to be working online or working in their books from 9am – 12pm each day. In the afternoon we encourage children to participate in some exercise or relax with their families.
