An air conditioning unit please letter! By: Maynard Sagaoinit
Dear Mr Siluuga, Mr Young and the BOT,
An air conditioning unit/heat pump is a device that turns cold air into hot air and vice versa. Some companies that sell air conditioning units/heat pumps are; DVS, HRV, SAYR and FUJITSU. I firmly believe that the classes in the Atawhai Syndicate needs an air conditioning unit/a heat pump.
Primarily, the only classrooms that don’t have these devices are the Atawhai Syndicate. It’s really not fair. All, the other classrooms have one except the A block. Even the board room has an air conditioning unit/a heat pump! and It’s such a tiny room!
Moreover, When It’s hot, you lose focus and when you lose focus, you get distracted and when you get distracted, you don’t do work. Were not slacking or anything, it’s just so, so, SO hot. It feels like the core of the sun.
Ultimately, If you think we can just use the fan, it won’t work. Only 2-4 people can sit under it. Plus, the cover for the court is reflecting heat at us. Also, we can’t open the windows very much so we don’t fall out of the building and we’re in a upstairs classroom.
In conclusion, if you bought us an air conditioning unit/a heat pump, it would be a win-win. We get to cool down and we do more work. We are more than prepared to help fundraise for the funds of the heat pump. We could do stalls like a sausage sizzle stall or even a cupcake stall! If we had a heat pump, it would really help us to learn and reach our goals.
