Today the children in Harinui Syndicate wrote stories about our vegetable seedlings and other things we can plant. Some people wrote about beans which we are sprouting on cotton wool.
We talked about the seedlings we were looking at! There were onions, silverbeet, spinach, beetroot, parsley, cauliflower and broccoli. We thought about the parts of the plant we could see.
Some people worked straight away with the teacher and began writing in their books. Some people worked on the whiteboards writing a list of the parts of a plant and copying down the words. We showed our buddies our work and read the words back to them.
We love to write at school, maybe we could write at home with our family/whanau. Letters, stories, lists of names or shopping items are all fun things to do!
