On Monday 23rd May the children of the Harinui Syndicate had another wonderful food technology experience. As we continue our second BOOK WEEK, we continue to focus on Healthy Eating.
In two groups we took turns to go to the Technology Room to make our Fruit Kebabs. They look great and taste wonderful.
Mrs de Koning showed us all the whole fruit in the morning during our Oral Language time. We greeted Mrs Bucheler during the roll and then said a statement about the fruit, and which one we would like to have in our kebab.
After morning tea all the fruit was cut up into small pieces. We wanted them to be all the same size!
We had to be careful with our skewers as they have a pointy end. We were sensible about how we held it and used it.
We loved our juicy, crisp, tasty, healthy fruit kebabs. We were allowed to have one marshmellow on the end for a treat!! We each had our favourite flavours, and combinations.
I think I could make these Fruit Skewers at home for my family too. They could be for breakfast, lunch or dessert!
