On Thursday 12th May the Harinui Syndicate walked to Allenby Park.We have been studying – ‘Keeping Those We Love Safe.” We have talked about and looked at videos, of ways to keep safe in the playground. So, we decided to go to the park and practice safe play.
We walked sensibly to the park, talking about what we were doing and what we could see along the way. We walked on the pavement, moved to the side when other people needed to use the path and crossed roads very carefully.
Very soon we were allowed to go and play in the playground. Everyone was trying to cooperate. We took turns and helped each other on the equipment. It was great fun!
Look at the new equipment we saw at the playground. We were very excited to try out everything. Children went from activity to activity having a great time.
There was a lot of running and a lot of chasing. We went up and down, round and round, backwards and forwards! It was super to be spending time with our friends.
We helped each other and talked about the things we could do together…especially on the new water and sand equipment! We loved it!
I like spending time with my friends and helping them to stay safe. We had a good time and talked about all the great things we had done together.
The journey home went quickly. we were a little tired from all the vigorous activity, but we walked back supporting and encouraging each other. Thank you to Vanzin’s Mum who took our photos for us!
