Today 31st of March the Harinui Syndicate went for a walk where we remembered each of the Stations of the Cross. Before we left we got our hats and drink bottles. Then we put on our fluro vests. Mrs de Koning led us as we read our Easter Joy poem together.
Next Mrs O’Grady lead us. We had a short reading, said a prayer, repeated a response and sang a song at each Station. We walked out of the school, along Fairview Road, down Landscape Road, on to St George Street and to Mahon Park!
As we walked along the road we looked around us and saw the beautiful flowers, plants and trees God had made! We talked together about all that we saw. We were sensible.
We turned the corner and went into St George Street. We went past the old Fire Station. We said more about the Stations of the Cross. Mrs O’Grady asked us questions. We were good at remembering the things that Jesus had experienced and the people who he had met on his journey to the cross.
We walked to the bottom of Mahon Place, reviewing two more Stations of the Cross. There were some lovely gardens. Our journey was nearly over!
We entered the park and saw a lot of beautiful mature trees. They were very tall and shady. The leaves hung down towards us as we walked under the trees.
Look at the special book that Mrs O’Grady read from as we walked through our Stations of the Cross Journey!
Red the next post to see the exciting things we did to celebrate the Easter Season of the Liturgical Year!
