The Harinui Syndicate went to the hall to see the Holy Week Liturgy. We saw the introduction to the way of the Cross and the first 3 stations of the cross shared by the Manaakitanga Syndicate. They used song, drama, prayer and ICT to tell us about the beginning of Jesus’ Holy Week journey.
We had three new students join our syndicate this day, Monday 21st March. They were excited to be at assembly for th4e first time and were very sensible. Well done – Liana-Quinn, Bronson and Morales!
Next we had our regularly assembly. The Principal Awards were handed out for people who had done very special things in learning over the week. Then our new students were welcomed by Mr Young and received their certificates, prayer card and mini cross. Welcome to Holy Cross School – we know you will love learning and playing here with us!
Afterwards we walked in lines to go and see the Stations of the Cross hung around our school. Past students made these plaques of clay, coloured and fired them. They are very special to us. We looked at stations 1 to 3 and then 4 to 6 too. We sang as we walked between the song – “Jesus remember me, when you come into your kingdom.” We prayed and talked aobut each station too.
