On Wednesday morning 2nd March the Harinui Syndicate went to visit our newly renovated Church. We admired the new terracotta coloured carpet and the matching vinyl on the kneelers and pew seats. We saw the large space behind the altar and also the bright white paint on the walls.
We looked carefully at the important objects inside the Church and practised saying their special names. We thought about sitting quietly, kneeling still, standing straight and moving slowly around the Church. We want to respect the people who are in the Church to pray and not disturb them.
We enjoyed our time in the Church and knew we were getting ready for our next full school Mass, so we know where to go and what to do. We know how to bless ourselves with the Holy water. We are learning to genuflect as we enter the pews, looking at the tabernacle and it’s light.
