Today Thursday the 4th of February the Harinui Syndicate went for a Prayer Walk around Holy Cross Catholic School. We talked as we walked about the different types of places we could pray.
Then we walked along the path to where we could see the koru shaped mural, and one of the Stations of the Cross. We talked about how we can walk from one station to the other reading about Jesus Easter story and praying to Him.
Because our Holy Cross Parish Church is being renovated services are now being held in the school hall. So we went for a walk to the hall.
We walked to the back of the hall and looked at the foyer decorations. Then we blessed ourselves with the Holy water. Next we walked quietly down the aisle to the front of the hall.
When we got to the front of the hall we practised genuflecting and moving to a seat. We learned to kneel on one knee and make th esign of the cross.
We now know there are many places around our school where we can be prayerful and talk to God.
