On Thursday and Friday Room 2a went to visit the Life Education Classroom. Our topic was VIP, because we are all Very Important People!
We were welcomed at the bus by the Life Education Teacher and then we were invited into the cosy trailer.
Once we were in the trailer and sitting quietly we were introduced to Harold the Life Education Mascot. He is s very funny giraffe.
Don’t call him a P-U-P-P-E-T (OR he will get very upset!) Harold thinks he is real.
Next we talked about safety in the home. On the wall lots of things were velcroed on. We had to say which things were dangerous and why!
Some of us put on the “DANGER” signs and talked about what we knew. McKenzie showed how to pass a pair of scissors by holding the blades and offering the handles to a friend, so you don’t poke or cut the other person!
Next we looked at the important parts of our bodies on the great big screen. We talked about the heart, lungs and brain. We learned what they do for us and why they are so important.
