We invited parents to share a legend from their own culture. Last week Kaiarahi’s Mum came in. We met in Room 4a and she told us the exciting story of Whaitere – The Enchanted Stingray. We all really enjoyed the story. We retold it to each other. We tried to remember the beginning, middle and end of the story. We were able to remember many details. We could put the events into the correct sequence too!
This is a copy of the story you can listen to at home.
After we listened to Whaea Sheena tell us the story we said thank you by singing our Maori songs to her.
