Today the Tumanako Syndicate had a fantastic trip to Motat as part of our science topic on light and colour( Museum of transport and technology).
We had a great teacher at Motat called Julie who led the teaching session in the classroom and allowed us an opportunity to investigate the properties of light and the technologies that utilise lights and mirrors. In the hands on workshop we got to explore mirrors, prisms, and lenses. We also had the opportunity to handle technology from the past including cameras, microscopes, and many more. On the self-guided trail we took a look into the technologies of the past on display. All of us thoroughly loved all of the exhibitions and we had a chance to think and consider how the properties of light have important uses in our lives.
Many thanks to all the wonderful parents who took time out of their day to be a parent helper.
