On Monday 10th August Ronald McDonald came to Holy cross catholic school to tell us about Road Safety.
Ronald made us laugh. He pretended he could not see us when he walked in the hall. We sat very quietly and watched him.
Ronald asked miss Lang to help him read the story to us! After she read the sentences we read them back to her.
It was such a windy day Ronald decided to do his washing. he hung up his first sock and then, oh no – his other sock flew away!
Ronald told us all about ‘sneaky driveways’ here is a video of him talking about it.
Ronald decided to walk to Holy cross School. He had to cross the road carefully.
We learned the ‘Stop, Look and Listen Song’!
Ronald got to Holy Cross school and hoped he might find his sock there. Selma was on road patrol and helped Ronald to cross the street.
Ronald looked everywhere for his stripy sock. He walked around and around looking up, down and around! We could see his sock and called out to him. But he didn’t listen…
Ronald McDonald was so pleased to have his stripy sock back! The wind had blown it onto his back and it was tucked into the neck of his shirt where he couldn’t see it. We had helped him to find it!!
We really liked listening to Ronald in the hall. We now know about “Making it Click’ and “Sneaky Driveways” and “Stop, Look and Listen.”
