Today the Arohanui Syndicate went to the Vodafone Events Centre to see a play put on by Tangaroa College. It was called Fatu and Clicks. This is the story about Fatu and her family. It is based on an old Samoan legend about two witches who come back to take Fatu’s brother Iti on his 12th birthday. Clicks is a crab who helps to get Iti back after the witches turn him into a rock. This story brings a family together with the help of the Aunties. It is a story that gives examples of human dignity, service to others and showing compassion for those around us, ending with how we need to show and ask forgiveness for what we do and don’t do. We all enjoyed the story line and the actors were very entertaining.
