Room 2a worked with Room 2 in the staff room to make jelly. Mrs de Koning took some photos too. Here they are!
Looking at the jelly boxes –
Looking at the crystals and tasting them…..
Stirring the jelly in the jugs – first hot water to dissolve the crystals and then cool water to make it to the right amount of liquid.
We waited patiently for our turn and watched what the other students did too. Mrs O’Grady helped us too.
Now we put the treats into our jelly cup. It sure will taste good!
After the jellies had been in the fridge for about 2 hours we got Mrs O’Grady to bring them to class. We all sat outside Room 2 and ate the lovley green jelly with a little spoon. Did you decide why we had green jelly? Hint – Tuesday was the 17th of March….yes we were still thinking about St Patrick and green symbolizing Ireland.
I wonder what we will do next week for our trip – and our activity afterwards??? Ask us on Monday and look for our permission slips in out Book Bags, Mum and Dad / Caregiver! Here’s a hint…we are going to N– W—- (walking!) Hope I can go. :)
