During the morning of the last two Wednesdays, the new students who will begin in Room 2a with Mrs de Koning have visited.
We talked about how to be ready for school each day – coming well rested, correctly dressed in their uniform and prepared for the day.
We found out what to bring to school each day – their school bag, book bag, a healthy lunch (something for 1st and 2nd break equally) and a drink bottle with water in it (we are a water school at Holy Cross!)
We discovered that we would need to keep our readers, scrapbooks and any notices in our book bag to take them home (this protects them from food scraps and drinks inn our school bags.)
AND Mrs de Koning reminded us it was important to bring any books or scrapbooks back to school the very next day!
Mum’s and Dad’s heard how we love them to come into class to visit in the mornings and afternoons to see our work we have done. Also she encouraged Mum’s, Dad’s and Caregivers to contact her at any time through her school email account – email@example.com. It is important to have good, regular communication between home and school.
We all had a super two days, meeting each other, looking around the school to see where we work and play and experiencing some of the fun things to do in class. The first students begin class on Monday 23rd of February. We can’t wait……..
