Parents/ whanau and Caregivers
Thank you to all those who attended the meeting/liturgy on Tuesday night in the Church. The liturgy/meeting was for the renewal of the Baptismal Commitment we made at our baptism and to welcome the Year 4 children who are receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Communion this year.
At this meeting parents were also given the Family/Whanau booklet that helps prepare your child at home. This booklet supports what the children are learning at school. (if you did not receive this booklet please see one of the following teachers below)
Our school is very lucky that the Sacramental Programme is offered to the Year 4 within school time. The children will take part in lessons that will help prepare them for receiving their Sacraments. The first Sacrament the children will be receiving is of Reconciliation and children will begin their lessons next week (Week 3 of the term).
The two Year 3 and 4 syndicates have one teacher in each syndicate who teaches the Sacramental Programme to the Year 4 children. This means that during this time the other children in those teacher’s classes will carry on with their Religious Education Learning in another classroom. Below are the following teachers who are teaching the Sacramental Programmes in each syndicate. These teachers will be able to help with any questions regarding this or you can also contact or see our DRS Miss O’Grady (email@example.com who is in Room 2 this year)
