Mona Williams is a Guyanan storyteller, children’s writer and educator. She has written numerous books, and has performed her work at various storytelling festivals and schools.
She recently visited Holy Cross School and presented three different sessions of her performance, one for each section of the school.
Everyone enjoyed her stories, many of which she invited students to participate in. We also liked her dramatic movement and expressive voice which held our interest from beginning to end of the show.
Several times we were able to dance to her lively music, finally leaving the hall in a line, moving to the music and giving and receiving a ‘High Five’ from Mona as we passed her.
