St Patrick’s Fun Day- can collection
Wed Mar 16 04:18pmSt Patrick’s Day – Thursday 17th March 2022
We will celebrate St Patrick’s Day this Thursday (17th) as we have always done but in a modified way.
Each team will have a liturgy in their bubbles followed by some sporting activities.
It will not be a whole school event but there will be activities scheduled throughout the day.
We always acknowledge this day as part of our heritage being a school that was founded by the Mercy Sisters. The Mercy Sisters’ first convent was situated in Dublin, Ireland where Mother Catherine McAuley began her work caring for the marginalised people of the community.
We will celebrate this day by having a Green Dress Up Day on Thursday 17 March. Children can choose to wear green clothing or something green on their clothing.
To participate in Green Dress Up Day, the Rangimarie Syndicate have suggested that every child bring a can of food. The cans of food will contribute to our Food Bank Appeal to remind us of the work the Mercy Sisters do to help the poor and vulnerable people in our communities.
Please see the attached poster.
