Holy Cross Catholic School Papatoetoe is a Sisters of Mercy Catholic integrated school. We cater for girls from Years 1 to 8, and boys from Years 1 to 6. Our school serves a widespread Catholic community in South Auckland with a school roll of around 600 ethnically diverse and wonderful students.
 
Our school’s vision is for children to learn and grow through Christ within a nurturing, safe, Catholic environment. Our school values of Human Dignity, Compassion, Reconciliation and  Service underpin this vision. These values are shared by parents, teachers and students.

BINGO and RAFFLE

Bingo Evening
Our PTFA Bingo night will be held on Friday, 26 August. All the details remain the same, so please see our flyers around the school. Tickets are available for $20.00 each at the school office. Please get your tickets as they are selling fast and numbers are limited. Please bring cash to the school office when purchasing tickets.


Raffle Tickets
There has been a huge demand for our raffle tickets so if you are unable to sell them all please return them by Friday 19 August as other families are requesting extra tickets to sell. We would be really delighted if all tickets were sold and returned before the end of Term 3.

Business Day- tomorrow!

Business Day


On Wednesday 17 August (tomorrow) our Year 7 & 8 students will hold their annual Business Day and there will be a range of items for sale which students may purchase. The students have worked hard to create successful businesses. There will be playdough, bath bombs, scrunchies, bracelets, pencil cases, stress balls and much more! Prices will range from $1.50 to $5.00 so please send your children to school with some money so they are able to support this day. Please try to send small change as the girls will only have limited change.

RAFFLE 📣 📣 Return your raffle books by tomorrow (Wednesday) to go in to the chance to win a family family pass to a Warriors home game!

Thank you for the tremendous response to the raffle. A reminder if your raffle book and $20 is returned by Wednesday 10th August you will go into the draw for a family pass (2 adults and 2 children) to a Warriors home game. This will be drawn on Friday 19th August. (One book sold=one entry, two books=two entries etc).


If you cannot sell your book of tickets, please return your unsold sold raffle book to school as soon as possible. We have a long waiting list of people wanting to buy more tickets.

Raffle 📣 📣


Today, if your child is the eldest in the family, they are bringing home a book of 10 raffle tickets to sell. This is a major fundraiser for the school this year. There are some awesome prizes!


1st- $1000 Prezzy Card
2nd- $500 New World Papatoetoe Card
3rd- $200 Petrol Voucher


Tickets are $2 each.


If you would like extra booklets to sell, there is an extremely limited amount of extra booklets to sell. Please return your first booklet with the $20 to be eligible to receive another booklet.

BINGO Night- MOVED to FRIDAY 26th AUGUST

ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the BINGO night scheduled for this Friday has been now moved to FRIDAY 26th AUGUST. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.


Doors will open at 6pm and Games begin at 7pm.


Tickets are available for purchase at the school office now. $20 for 20 games. These are prepaid and required for entry. 200 people limit. These people will be able to buy extra game tickets on the night.


Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase on the night.

Swimming for Years 3 – 6 Students

Disco Tonight! Suppers Pick Up

Just a quick reminder we have our AIMS DISCO fundraising event tonight in the school hall between 6 pm and 8 pm. We know lots of children are really excited! We thank you in advance for your support of the fundraiser.


For those who have ordered suppers, you can now pick them up from the school technology room (on the side of the hall) from 2.45 pm onwards. You can also pick them up at the start of the DISCO.

AIMS DISCO and Supper Orders

DISCO Fundraiser


On Friday night there will be a disco between 6pm and 8pm for our students in the school hall. Entry is $2. There will be sausages, water and slushies on sale. Children will also be able to purchase glow sticks. Prices are as listed below in the poster. Please bring small change to help the sellers.

As part of our fundraising for the Intermediate AIMS Games which we are attending next term in Tauranga, we are selling suppers on Friday 1st July. They will be ready for collection from 5.30 pm in the school technology room while the AIMS DISCO is occurring. 


If you wish to order suppers, please fill in the form your child has brought home. Put in an envelope with your money and return it to school by Wednesday, 29th June. We will collect the orders from the classrooms.

This week we are celebrating Samoan Language Week.

We look forward to seeing as many families as possible at the 10am Mass on Sunday 29th May 2022 when our school will be leading the Mass for the Feast of the Ascension.  This is a privilege that we only get a couple of times a year and with Covid we have not been able to lead the Mass for the past 2 years.  We look forward to a great celebration!
