HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Holy Cross Catholic School Papatoetoe is a Sisters of Mercy Catholic integrated school. We cater for girls from Years 1 to 8, and boys from Years 1 to 6. Our school serves a widespread Catholic community in South Auckland with a school roll of around 600 ethnically diverse and wonderful students.
 
Our school’s vision is for children to learn and grow through Christ within a nurturing, safe, Catholic environment. Our school values of Human Dignity, Compassion, Reconciliation and  Service underpin this vision. These values are shared by parents, teachers and students.

Fair Update- Cake Stall

Today students received a plate to bring home for our cake stall. We would like families to return the plate on Friday morning with homemade cakes, slices, muffins or biscuits. If you need more than one plate or a cake box to bake multiple offerings, please get in touch with the office. A notice accompanying the plate will explain the procedure for this.

We are looking forward to seeing you all and your extended families at our school fair on Saturday beginning at 9 am.


 


If anyone can help over the next two days- please come to the office. Offers of help would be greatly appreciated.

Fair Drop Off Saturday Midday to 2pm & Cake Stall Information

A quick reminder that we have our final Saturday fair drop off tomorrow (Saturday 5th November) between midday and 2pm.


White Elephant items, clothing, books, linen, toys and sporting equipment.


We look forward to your donations of pre-loved items for our school fair. 


Next Wednesday, students will be receiving a plate to bring home for our cake stall. We would like families to return the plate on Friday morning with homemade cakes, slices, muffins or biscuits. Pre-Fair Garage Sale & Sausage Sizzle after school- Thursday 27th October

On Thursday, 27th October, from 2.30pm till 5.30pm we will have a garage sale to sell all the large furniture and auction items that have been donated for the Fair. All reasonable offers will be accepted so invite all your whanau and friends to come and buy some new furniture and treasures,


Sausage sizzles and drinks will be available to buy for $2.00 so you won’t be hungry while you look around for a bargain.


Cash or bank transfer on point of sale please. Cash only for the BBQ. Students can also buy sausages after school. 


WE DO NOT HAVE EFTPOS or CREDIT CARD AVAILABLE FOR PAYMENT.

Fair Collection Tuesday 3pm-6pm

Just a quick reminder that we have a Fair Collection after school tomorrow(Tuesday) 3pm- 6pm. Please bring your pre-loved goods to the blue container on the courts. You can drive onto the courts after the children have left for the day.


We are especially looking for furniture for our Pre-Fair Garage Sale on Thursday to be dropped off.


However, you can also drop off white elephant items, books, toys and clothes too. All donations will help us meet our fair targets.


Many thanks for the great items we received at the collection on Saturday. We thank you for your support.

Holy Cross Week

It has been a great week celebrating Holy Cross Week, Māori Language Week and Caritas Social Justice Week.


Tomorrow concludes our Holy Cross Week celebrations with class or syndicate items. This event is just a school event for students and there will be no room for spectators unfortunately.


We will take some photos and post them on Facebook tomorrow afternoon.
